Do you have an idea in your local community that needs supporting? Bath and North East Somerset Council have set up a one-off fund of £2000 per Councillor to address concerns or needs in their local community.  The Councillors for Lambridge, Cllr Rob Appleyard and Cllr Joanna Wright had been planning to hold a “Dragon’s Den” event in their ward to work with the community on ideas that needed to be supported.  However, due to the pandemic they are unable to hold such an event and even the Local Look which they had hoped would publicise Empowerment Fund will not be going to press in May and possibly June.  But the Fund still remains. Rob and Joanna are still very keen to get the message out that they would very much welcome members in the community to come forward with ideas that they could support.

To date £300 has been given to the Community Orchard that has been planted at Larkhall Allotment, where over 22 fruit and nut trees have been planted for the community to enjoy and in time get local produce from.

So do you have a project that needs supporting, do you know someone that might have a concern.  If so please pass the message on to get in touch with Rob and Joanna
